Land Registry Service eyes further job cuts in Retail Office and TPS

Land Registry Service eyes further job cuts in Retail Office and TPS – Oct 2019 (PDF version)

The NSW Land Registry Service (LRS) has written to the CPSU NSW outlining plans to shed up to 12 jobs across the Retail Office and Title and Planning Services.

The ompany cites an increase in the “digitisation” of services to explain staffing cuts in the retail arm of the business, while demand driven a redesign of work and roles is offered as the principal explanation for changes in TPS.

LRS has reiterated its ongoing commitment to the employment guarantee for transferred staff and will manage the reorganisation through voluntary redundancy where required.

Additionally, the company is legally required to undertake a consultation process with staff (and the CPSU NSW) and genuinely consider alternative proposals that reduce job losses and other adverse outcomes.
