Southern Cross University – CPSU NSW and University continue discussions for your EBA

Southern Cross University – CPSU NSW and University continue discussions for your EBA – May 2018 (PDF version)

Negotiations have continued between the CPSU NSW, the University and the other bargaining agents and we have been meeting almost weekly to get through all the detail of the various claims on the table for your next Enterprise Agreement.

The Federal Government recently announced significant cuts to university funding that will have a huge impact on regional universities like SCU in particular. This makes for a challenging bargaining environment.

Your CPSU team is currently working through the drafts of the various clauses that we have been discussing with the University and waiting on responses on a few more. Our next bargaining meeting is scheduled on 14 May 2018.

In coming weeks we hope to be able to report back to members about the details of the universities position and be in a position to ask for CPSU NSW members to prioritise our most important claims.

Clauses have been tabled and discussions continue for CPSU claims for Superannuation; Public Holidays; Domestic and Family Violence Leave; Job Security and Redundancy; Managing Unsatisfactory Performance and Misconduct; Flexitime; Professional staff workloads; Professional staff career development; Professional Staff Classification and Change management.
