TAFE members bulletin: You spoke, now it’s time for TAFE to listen

You spoke now it’s time for TAFE to listen September 2015 (PDF version)

The results of TAFE’s ballot for your enterprise agreement are in: a massive 81% voted NO!

  • NO to slashing your conditions
  • NO to working unpaid extra hours
  • NO to a rushed and untested classification system
  • NO to broken shifts
  • NO to part year employment

This is your win!

Thank you to all the PSA (CPSU) members who spoke with colleagues and distributed union material.

Thank you to everyone who voted – you brought about this fantastic result.

What happens next?

Arrangements have already been made for all parties to continue bargaining on Tuesday, 29 September 2015.

Your current conditions remain locked in whilst we continue to bargain.

The fight is not over yet

We need to keep the pressure on TAFE to make sure that their clear agenda to reduce your job security and slash your conditions does not happen.

The PSA (CPSU) is ready to continue bargaining.

However, it is vital that TAFE respect the clear message that’s been sent: staff have overwhelmingly rejected their unfair proposal.

What can you do?

The most important thing you can do is to ensure that everyone in your workplace has a voice.

Joining the PSA (CPSU) is the only way to have your voice heard in the continuing enterprise bargaining negotiations.

If you are already a member, increase the bargaining strength of the PSA (CPSU) by asking your colleagues to join.

Not a member? Join the PSA (CPSU) today to fight for improvements instead of slashed wages and conditions.
