Western Sydney University – Western Sydney Reset

As you all know, the Western Sydney Reset has been worked on over the last few months and the change proposals are nearly here.

Your union has been in constant contact with the Vice Chancellor Distinguished Professor George Williams who has been keeping us appraised of what has been happening in the background and asking us for suggested ways forward.

The operating deficit that needed to be made up was initially $74.5 million of which they have found $23 Mil in non-salary savings and $7 mil in senior staff reductions.

This will mean that there are fewer job impacts and less job losses. The timeline shared by the Vice Chancellor in his all-staff webinar outlines the process that needs to be followed in line with your Enterprise Agreement. (PSA Clause 54 Organisational Change)

WSU Reset

The VC has offered to meet with your union on a regular basis to keep us up to date with any issues and we will also use these opportunities to raise identified matters with him as well.

If you would like us to pass on feedback for any of the change proposals being released this week, please contact with WSU Reset in the subject line.

Your delegates and union are here to support you through this change.
