Western Institute campus visits (PDF version)
The PSA/CPSU will be visiting several colleges within the Western Institute during the week commencing 18 May, culminating in a video conference for all members on 21 May from Dubbo Campus.
PSA Organiser Shane Jobberns will be on campus to listen to members’ concerns, update staff on the upcoming enterprise agreement negotiations and help members formulate your log of claims.
The PSA/CPSU will also be engaging members in discussion about Local Community Action Groups (LCAGs), a concept suggested by the TAFE PSA/CPSU Departmental Committee in order to encourage engagement from the local community in issues affecting TAFE.
LCAGs are essential for regional colleges due to the distances between each college. The Western Institute LCAG will have contacts/members in each college or close by who could meet regularly by video conference.
