Yesterday, your union met with Minister for TAFE, Steve Wahn to discuss the status of the outstanding pay increase for TAFE NSW Administrative Staff. During the meeting, the union was advised that TAFE NSW had received feedback from Minister for Industrial Relations, Sophie Cotsis’ office which required the submission to be amended.
The updated submission is set to be presented at the Senior Official Wages Advisory Committee (SOWAC) on Thursday, 10 April 2025. Following this, the matter will proceed to the Expenditure Review Committee (ERC) for further consideration and approval on 24 April 2025.
The CPSU NSW is aware of the impact the delay has had on our members in TAFE and will continue to pursue the finalisation of your pay rise at the highest levels.
This timeline provides a clearer picture of the steps ahead and the anticipated dates for the increase to be finalised. The union will not back down from ensuring CPSU NSW members receive the additional 0.5 per cent pay increase in line with our members in the public sector.
We remain committed to ensuring that these processes are completed and will continue to keep you informed of any further developments.
