The PSA CPSU NSW Retired Associates held their first meeting for the year on 25 February 2025 at PSA House and by Teams. Unfortunately the Teams link failed during the meeting so apologies to those members who missed some of the discussion.
Kym Ward, Manager of Membership and Governance and gave an update about value added benefits as follows:
As at 31 January 2025 there were 931 retired associates with 672 who are financial members. Membership is 63 per cent male and 37 per cent female. Ms Ward advised that 146 have no email addresses.
Annual fees are currently $36.75 without the Provident Fund and $42.45 with the Provident Fund. This is less than the cost of a dozen cups of coffee.
Retired Associates are encouraged to contact the PSA and provide their current email addresses. If you know anyone who may be an unfinancial member could you please gently encourage them to remain connected as a financial associate with the PSA CPSU NSW.
We also had a very informative presentation from industrial officer Marko Petrovic who gave us an update about WHS and psychosocial hazards in the workplace. Retired associates attach great importance to these matters as we all want to see safer workplaces for current and future generations.
The approved minutes of the December 2024 meeting are attached HERE. The draft minutes of the February meeting are attached HERE for the information of Retired Associates.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 commencing at 10:30am at PSA House or by Microsoft Teams.
