Pay rise update for TAFE NSW members

The CSPU NSW has received further information recently from TAFE NSW regarding your pay rise. Please see previous bulletins on this matter HERE and HERE.

Update

TAFE is in the process of finalising its submission to pay the same wage increase as received by public servants, such as those employed in areas such as the Department of Educetion, Service NSW and Transport for NSW.

However, this needs to be signed off by the Managing Director of TAFE, Minister Steve Wahn, NSW Treasury, the Cabinet Office and the Premier’s Department prior to 25 March 2025 when the Senior Officials Wage Advisory Committee (SOWAC) will be sitting. SOWAC will then decide whether to approve your pay rise to be in line with all other NSW public servants.

This is then followed by the Expenditure Review Committee, which will also be sitting shortly after.

Members can rest assured that their pay rise is finally back on track after months of government inaction, and the CPSU NSW has received a commitment from TAFE NSW that it will be back paid to September 2024, when the previous Enterprise Agreement expired.
