Many of you have been eagerly awaiting an update on how Enterprise Bargaining Negotiations are progressing.
The wheels have been moving slowly in the background since the “No Vote” of members and the current offer was rejected by majority of employees, particularly CPSU members across all states.
This is a great result and was encouraged by the CPSU with your best interests at heart and will yield a better offer for consideration next time round.
The NHVR has advised that due to staff changes there will be changes in their bargaining representatives and have been moving in the background to organise new bargaining parameters.
Your union has written to the NHVR to restart the negotiations, with the focus being how we could get back to the negotiations table to have a candid discussion to get a deal done post haste.
The NHVR understood the CPSU position and agreed that a quick resolution to outstanding matters is in the best interest of all.
Meeting dates and times are currently being organised, and negotiations will begin in the coming week/s ahead.
The CPSU delegates will meet prior to negotiations to discuss what will be tabled at negotiations with the view of getting the deal done as soon as possible.
The CPSU is positive about the direction the negotiation is heading, and will keep you updated as soon as it progresses,
