Mercer Enterprise Bargaining update and member meeting tomorrow

The CPSU NSW has had its second meeting with Mercer regarding a new Enterprise Agreement.

During the meeting, the CPSU NSW made representations based on feedback provided at the last members’ meeting. This included the desire to:

  • Maintain all conditions of employment for staff as set out in the Mercer Administration Service Enterprise Agreement 2023 unless otherwise improved as a result of negotiations with the CPSU NSW.
  • Ensure all employment conditions be appropriately articulated within the Enterprise Agreement rather than unenforceable policy.
  • Enhance redundancy entitlements, specifically, in the event that Mercer is sold, members are offered a voluntary redundancy prior to the sale.

The next meeting with Mercer will include discussion of wage increases and duration of the agreement. CPSU NSW intends to make representations around leave, including the cashing out of long service leave, and bereavement leave.

There will be a CPSU NSW online meeting on Wednesday 5 February at 12.30pm if members would like to raise anything regarding the negotiations. You can join online with the following link or meeting details:
