University of Technology, Sydney Creative Industries Change Proposal

The University of Technology Sydney has advised of a proposal to create a new faculty, combining a number of Creative and Social Practice disciplines, which the University has identified as including;

  • UTS Animal Logic Academy
  • Centre for the Advancement of Indigenous Knowledge
  • Centre for Media Transition, shared with the Faculty of Law
  • Centre for Public History
  • Centre for Sustainable Fashion and Textiles
  • School of Architecture
  • School of the Built Environment
  • School of Communication
  • School of Design
  • School of International Studies and Education
  • Visualisation Institute, shared with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

Affected Workers have been offered opportunity to provide feedback or seek further information on the proposal as part of a consultation period, with the final date for submission being Friday 27 September 2024. Submissions can be made through a Sharepoint Link;  and there is a Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 17 September 2024.
