As members would be aware, the NSW Government has committed to creating a Great Koala National Park (GKNP) on the Mid North Coast. Three advisory panels have been established to provide input to the assessment process and creation of the park.
The advisory panels, which represent the views of the community, Aboriginal groups and industry, will give feedback on the process of assessing land for inclusion in the national park. They will also provide information on economic, social, ecological and cultural matters.
The PSA CPSU NSW, through Assistant General Secretary Troy Wright, has been involved in the GKNP Industry Advisory Panel. Troy wishes to update members and staff on our inclusion on this panel and seek their views on the proposed GKNP.
Troy, along with PSA Organisers, will be onsite at the Coffs Harbour Office at 3:00pm on Tuesday 12 March in the Fire Room.
We hope to see you there.
Please feel free to circulate this bulletin to colleagues who may not be CPSU NSW members.
