2024 NHVR Negotiation Preparation now begins.

The time is almost here where the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator will issue employees the Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR) in preparation to begin Enterprise Bargaining Negotiations. Members have been advised of the process via the “Did You Know” emails sent each month October through to December 2023.

Tentative negotiation meetings have been marked with the initial kick off for both SCO and Administration & Professional Enterprise Agreements on 12th and 13th March 2024.

The CPSU-NSW is now preparing a Survey Monkey requesting members input on what they would like tabled in bargaining and what claims they feel should be tabled and negotiated through the process.

This survey is for members of the Union ONLY and any Non-Member who completes the Survey will have their input removed from the responses. The CPSU-NSW advises members not to provide Non-Members with this bulletin.

As previously advised please refer to your current Award/Agreement as well as the current NHVR Enterprise Agreement as reference to your conditions of employment.

The Survey Monkey will be open for members to complete until February 16th, 2024. After this the CPSU-NSW will combine the members’ input and place it into a Log of Claims (LOC) that can be tabled to the NHVR once the Negotiations begin.

Please keep in contact with your local delegate throughout the negotiations as they will be updated post each meeting with what was discussed and how the negotiations are progressing. Regular bulletins will be sent to members to keep them up to date.

Please discuss with non-members encouraging them to join the Union of their relevant State so they too can have input and be kept in the loop with their Pay and Condition of employment.

Please complete the Survey Monkey HERE by February 16th, 2024.

The more Union Members we have the more strength we have and our collective power will show the NHVR that we “Work together to make a difference” and “Make a difference at work together”.

Remember these negotiations are based on our motto “A High Tide Floats All Boats” with a fair and reasonable outcome for ALL members across all states is the platform we are working from.

If any members has an issue or concern please contact your local delegate in the first instance, delegates will contact Ian Braithwaite CPSU-NSW or 0400 859 630 in the event they can not answer the members issue or concern.
