The parties met for the final face to face meeting on Tuesday 28 February 2023.
The CPSU NSW is pleased to inform members that the bargaining team has reached an in-principle on the draft replacement Enterprise Agreement (EA) with UTS.
This will be a single agreement covering Professional and Academic Staff.
EB9 will expire on 31 August 2025
On balance, the current draft EA is an improvement to conditions and wages that matter most to our members, which is critical in addressing inflation and the cost of living.
At the final meeting the parties focused on Professional Staff Development:
(This was not a huge ask, especially considering the commitment of other institutions such as Western Sydney University will provide $4.6m per annum for professional training)
The NTEU declined to endorse the agreement on an in-principle basis on 28 February 2023. They will meet with their members on 16 March 2023 to discuss their future actions.
The CPSU NSW will hold an all-members meeting on Thursday 9 March at 12:30 discuss the EA and its new benefits in a comprehensive Q&A.
This will be a Zoom meeting with details to follow shortly.
