Today, the union met with MTC in relation to the Enterprise Agreement. This was the first meeting that we’ve attended since the second 48-hour stoppage last weekend.
MTC tabled the following offer:
The union will be on-site next Monday and Tuesday after parade to discuss MTC’s latest offer. It is our intention to seek your feedback, and subsequently give that feedback to MTC. If a majority of members are happy with this offer, we will let MTC know. Conversely, if members are not satisfied with the offer, the union will continue to push for our last offer, that being 4 per cent per annum (inclusive of superannuation) and a $1500 sign-on bonus.
We will send out a text on Monday afternoon with a link to a survey, where you can indicate whether you support or reject the latest offer from MTC. That means that, if you aren’t on shift next Monday or Tuesday, you can still have your say.
If you would like to talk to someone from the union in the meantime, please contact Mark Ward or Brian Kirk. You can also call Jess on 0401 521 561 or Kim on 0408 249 277.
