The union has been formally advised by Serco that the Enterprise Agreement (EA) was voted up by a majority of members, with 89 per cent of staff who voted supporting the latest offer.
This means the EA will be lodged with the Fair Work Commission and certified by a Commissioner. As soon as this happens, the pay increase will come into effect and the bonus paid to all staff covered by the EA.
We wanted to thank all members who fought incredibly hard to get this outcome. The union members who stood together, went on strike together, and fought together are the only reason that Serco offered as much as they did. If it weren’t for the industrial action that occurred, Serco would never have offered an increase that will ultimately result in almost all members earning at least $30 an hour.
