Western University Enterprise Agreement ballot opens soon!
The vote for the Enterprise Agreement (EA) officially commences at 9:00am on Monday 28 November to 4:00pm on Tuesday 29 November, which means you will have the opportunity to have your say in relation to the offer. It is important you cast your vote before the voting period closes, so please remember to vote!
The new Agreement includes:
- Remote Working Arrangements
- A salary uplift of $1,000 for Professional employees at Levels 1 to 5, and a $500 uplift for Levels 6 and 7, effective the first full pay period practicable after the date on which Employees approve the Agreements and backdated to 14 October;
- Pay increases of:
- 2.6% effective the first full pay period practicable after the date on which Employees approve the Agreements and backdated to 14 October;
- 3.35% in October 2023;
- 2.9% in October 2024; and
- 2.6% in March 2025.
- A stipulation that a staff member will not be subject to more than one organisational change process that threatens their position during the nominal term of the Agreement;
- Strengthened consideration of increases to workloads during any organisational change process;
- Increased access to paid Partner Leave for partners who are primary carers;
- Enhanced recognition of prior casual service for the purpose of long service leave accrual;
- Introduction of paid miscarriage leave;
- Introduction of paid gender affirmation leave;
- Increased paid family and domestic violence leave; and
- Support for organ donors.
