TAFE Enterprise Agreement update


As you would know, the TAFE Commission of NSW Administrative, Support and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement 2022 went out to vote. The vote closed yesterday.

We have been advised that a majority of employees covered by the Enterprise Agreement (EA) voted in its favour. This means TAFE NSW will now take the necessary steps to lodge the EA in the Fair Work Commission for approval.

The CPSU NSW supported the EA on the basis that it is only for 12 months. This is on the assumption that, with a change of government, we will be in a position to negotiate a new EA next year without the NSW Government Wages Policy dictating the wage increase. In the meantime, we will also be able to assess the viability of the newly inserted flex agreement, and will therefore be in a position to iron out any issues that arise.
