In March 2020 the PSA/CPSU NSW established a $100,000 relief fund for members who were badly affected by the 2019/2020 bushfires.
This fund operated until December 2020.
The PSA/CPSU NSW re-opened the fund in March 2022 when the state was hit with catastrophic floods, mainly in northern NSW and, more recently, in July across a wider area. We proudly provided members throughout the state some relief with grants of up to $1000 for those members whose primary residence was totally or partially destroyed by a declared natural disaster.
The temporary relief fund has now closed, effective 9 September 2022 due to the total spend now reaching well over $100,000.
