Day 1

WHS – what every worker needs to know…improving safety and representation at your workplace
Through information, discussion and practical exercises, we will:
- get to understand WHS law
- look at duties, rights, and protections
- find out the what, when and how of your employer’s duty to consult with workers
- do a workplace inspection and risk assessment
- find out about HSRs – who they are, how to get them, and their powers and functions in the WHS space.
Day 2
Wednesday 28 September
Dealing with Bullying and Mental Health
A WHS approach to dealing with bullying in the workplace.
- What is bullying?
- What does the law say?
- What can I do about it?
- Who can help?
Stigma at work around mental health?
- Not sure how to help a colleague who is struggling?
- How do you cope with workplace stresses and change?
Learn some useful strategies to help you and others, to look after yourself and build personal resilience.
- Please be aware, we do touch on the topic of suicide, so be mindful of your own health when signing up.
Members can attend both training days or just the one day they are interested in.
