WHS: Improving safety and representation at your workplace

WHS – what every worker needs to know

Through information, discussion and practical exercises, we will:

  • get to know the WHS law;
  • look at duties, rights, and protections;
  • find out the what, when and how of your employer’s duty to consult with workers;
  • do a workplace inspection and risk assessment
  • find out about HSRs – who they are, how to get them, and their powers and functions in the WHS space.

Day 2: 7 September

Dealing with Bullying and Mental Health

A WHS approach to dealing with bullying in the workplace.

  • What is bullying?
  • What does the law say?
  • What can I do about it?
  • Who can help?

Stigma at work around mental health?

  • Not sure how to help a colleague who is struggling?
  • How do you cope with workplace stresses and change?

Learn some useful strategies to help you and others, to look after yourself and build personal resilience.

*  Please be aware, we do touch on the topic of suicide, so be mindful of your own health when signing up.
