Keep in the loop: Update your details with the CPSU NSW

On Wednesday, the CPSU NSW sent out a bulletin advising members that we were in the process of drafting a protected action ballot (PAB) application, following the resounding no vote on Serco’s proposed Enterprise Agreement.

The CPSU NSW is in the process of finalising this application, and it is anticipated that we will lodge this in the Fair Work Commission on Monday as expected.

This is a friendly reminder to update your contact details with the union, including your email address if you have one, as soon as possible. Once the application is lodged and approved, the voting agent compare the contact information that we have to that provided by Serco and will email the PAB voting link to members accordingly. It is important that there is a contact email address and mobile number on file so that you receive the PAB when it is approved by the Commission.

Once again, only union members can engage in protected industrial action under the Fair Work Act 2009, so if you are not a union member you must join if you want to be involved in the fight. Collective action is the most effective when a majority of members participate, and so it is imperative that as many people as possible get involved to demonstrate our strength and to ensure that we win the fight for better wages and conditions.

If you want to join the union, you can do so HERE.

If you want to talk to the union about what it means to take protected industrial action, or if you have any questions that you would like answered, then please send an email to , , or .
