TransGrid Enterprise Bargaining members’ update meeting

The CPSU NSW and other unions met with TransGrid on 20 December to discuss a new offer from their representatives after the Fair Work Commission (FWC) did not approve the last voted-on agreement. The FWC decision was based on the fact that not all employees were able to vote, therefore would not approve the agreement.

Unions, including the CPSU NSW, recommended a “No Vote” on the last offer as members indicated that the 2.5 per cent increase was not enough on the table especially when 0.5 per cent was going into Superannuation Guarantee Contributions. This in essence meant only a two per cent pay increase each year over a three-year period.

TransGrid had now put a new offer on the table which is a four-year agreement and pay increases as follows:

  • Dec 2020 to Dec 2021 – 2.5% pay increase
  • Dec 2021 to Dec 2022 – 3% pay increase
  • Dec 2022 to Dec 2023 – 3% pay increase
  • Dec 2023 to Dec 2024 – 3% pay increase

The CPSU NSW would like to hold a members’ meeting via video link. This has been approved by TransGrid as a paid meeting, so please make time to attend and give feedback to the CPSU NSW.

Please register HERE and attend the meeting on Wednesday 22 December at 10:00am.

If you have any concerns or issues with registering please contact CPSU NSW Organiser Ian Braithwaite on 0400 859 630 or at .

The CPSU NSW is a member-driven union and we want to hear from our members for guidance on what our members want in these negotiations and if this current offer is satisfactory or not.

Hope to see you all at the meeting.
