CPSU NSW members vote down NSWALC EA offer

A majority of CPSUNSW members have voted to reject NSWALC’s enterprise agreement proposal by a margin of 60 per cent (against) to 40 per cent (in favour) in a survey of union members.

The survey attracted a 70 per cent response rate and represents a reasonable sample of union members’ attitude to the proposal. Feedback from members and our bargaining representatives suggest that proposed changes to incremental progression and remuneration are the key reasons the proposal has been rejected.

NSWALC has advised the CPSU NSW that it intends to test support for its proposal and proceed with a ballot of all staff, without further negotiation with the union or independent bargaining representatives.

On this basis the CPSU NSW is now recommending a NO VOTE.

Our members have spoken, and a clear majority have voted against the proposed enterprise agreement in our survey.

If you have any questions in relation to our survey or the bargaining process moving forward, please contact the CPSU NSW Organiser, Mary Jo Costache  on 1300 772 679 or your local CPSU NSW representative.
