Each member is able to contribute to what your UTS Professional Staff Branch will prioritise and focus on for the next 12 months
You, the members who form the UTS Branch, get the opportunity to meet and network with other Professional Staff union members.
Thinking about nominating for a position?
By volunteering a little of your time, you can learn more about your rights at work, how your rights are created and protected. You will also meet new colleagues and help make improvements to the working lives of Professional Staff across the university.
The following positions are available for nomination as per the UTS Branch Charter.
One Branch Delegate for every 40 financial members or part thereof,
President, who will preside at meetings of the Branch and the Branch Committee,
Vice‐President, who will deputise for the Branch President,
Secretary, who will keep the minutes of all meetings of the Branch and of the Committee,
Assistant Secretary, who will assist and deputise for the Secretary,
Women’s Officer, who will promote the interests of women members of the Branch,
Membership Registrar, who will keep a register of all members of the Branch,
Members of the Higher Education Representative Council (HERC), as determined by the constitution of that body, who may also hold other offices in the Branch Committee,
Such other Committee members as may be determined by the Branch from time to time.
