Disability Services Australia members’ bulletin

Administration of Disability Services Australia

Weekly meetings between stakeholders – Disability Services Australia (DSA) Management, KPMG administrators, CPSU Industrial staff, and others are continuing on a weekly basis. The CPSU continues to represent and advocate for members’ interests at these meetings.

The CPSU NSW understands that town hall meetings are continuing on a weekly basis, also. This is an opportunity for staff to hear the latest updates from Management. Members should attend these meetings and raise any concerns with the CPSU NSW at your earliest opportunity.

Disability Support Workers should note that, irrespective of the title or management of the organisation you work for, the vulnerable people of our communities will continue to be reliant on the important work you perform.

Rostering/Community Living Award

Rostering continues to be an issue across the disabilities sector. The CPSU NSW is in the process of dealing with issues at DSA. It is your union’s position that the Community Living Award is still applicable for those working under it and the Rostering Principles contained within it must be adhered to. Members with rostering issues should contact us immediately. If you know a non-member with rostering issues get them to join the CPSU NSW and contact us.

All-member videoconferencing (Zoom meetings)

The CPSU NSW recently held two Zoom meetings allowing all members to be updated with the latest union news. This is also an opportunity to have your voices heard. Please keep an eye out for future all-member Zoom meetings and register your attendance in advance.
