Earlier this year the CPSU NSW had a number of wins where TAFENSW formally recognised and agreed to the need to fill a number of vacant positions we had brought to their attention.
If there is a position that is being left vacant within your work unit, particularly when this vacancy is creating unsustainable workload issues, such as pressure and stress for you and your colleagues, then please get in contact with your union delegate. We will have it addressed and filled as soon as practicable.
We cannot rely on the Request to Fill process to be followed without extended delays or interruptions.
Remember, it is unreasonable to have vacancies unfilled. This can have long-term WHS consequences on staff, and diminish the student experience overall.
So, we are seeking your on-the ground information on vacancies – including position number, if known – sooner than later.
