Your Agreement Update – July 2020 (PDF version)

After finalising negotiations for your Enterprises Agreement your CPSU NSW Team has continued to meet with Mercer and work through the implementation of the agreement.

We’ve advised members on the progress to date and requested your feedback and input to gauge how it is working in your area.

Flex in your Agreement

During our member feedback sessions before the commencement of bargaining, members noted there were different levels of access to the flex provisions in the agreement. Some members noted there were no issues, while other members noted their whole team had been emailed and told they could not accrue flex time or access a flex day.

In terms of the Interest based approach to bargaining, members wanted to work through and resolve the issues that were a barrier to accessing the provisions.

We encourage members to read through your new agreement the Mercer Administration Services Enterprise Agreement 2019 Clause 23.5 Flexible Working Arrangements – Flex Day.

Performance Review – Mid-Year

Members will also be aware of the impending mid-year performance review process.

The CPSU NSW put out a survey to members asking for their feedback and their understanding of the 321 process. We can report to members that we have some good feedback from the survey.

The survey highlights some concerns around the frequency of ones on ones and members were not aware what processes they need to follow if they do not agree with their rating.

We are seeking further feedback on these topics from members and encourage members to attend our Zoom members meeting to discuss the topic.

Implementation Committee and Zoom members’ meeting

The next Enterprise Agreement implementation committee meeting is on 8 July 2020.

Due to COVID-19 we have not had a physical workplace members meeting so we will host a zoom meeting to run through where we are at in relation to the agreement and seek your input at the meeting.

We propose to hold the meeting on 15 July 2020.

We will send out the details of the meeting in a separate notice.

CPSU NSW member feedback and input

We will continue to engage with our membership via bulletins and/ or emails updates. Where there is scope and the need for meetings for your feedback we will schedule Video Conference or Q&A sessions via one of the platforms.
