Mercer CPSU NSW member update: What is happening in 2020?

Jan update – Jan 2020 (PDF version)

At the end of 2019 your union informed members there is still work do to in the Enterprise Agreement space. Your union will be involved in the Post Implementation Committee (PIC) where your CPSU NSW delegates and Industrial staff will meet with Mercer to oversee the rollout of the agreement.

PIC Frequency and Agenda

The PIC will meet once a month to discuss the progress of the implementation of the agreement and any issues that may arise in the process. The broad topics include looking at performance based pay, monitoring the flexible working conditions, the classification review and the implementation of policies.

CPSU NSW member feedback and input

CPSU NSW members noted they have a strong interest in seeing the new agreement implemented efficiently and effectively with a high level of transparency. Your union will continue to hold members’ meetings and seek your feedback and input to inform the process. We will advise of the meeting date and time shortly. We also encourage members to considering becoming a delegate or an area contact so we have a cross section of members on the team.

Changes to STC – reporting lines

Members working in the STC administration teams have been advised that there will a new team created, splitting the STC Benefits and Medical team into two teams.

Members have noted that this is a good initiative, however there are some concerns that as the new role will be filled from current staffing numbers, a position will be vacated and not backfilled. This could lead to an increased workload.

Members are asked to raise any concerns over these changes and we will put these to Mercer.

Please email your feedback to with the subject title CPSU STC Feedback.
