Meet and Greet and next steps – Nov 2019 (PDF version)

The Benevolent Society held a meet and greet to start the bargaining process on Thursday 14 November. The meeting was to introduce the unions and employee bargaining reps and for TBS to give us a brief overview of its finances.

The unions advised that for the process to be fair and to allow our members to have the most productive voice, the proposed timetable would not work. This process can’t be rushed.

The next meeting has been proposed for February 2020 to give us time to get around to our members and discuss what we want to see in the OneEA.

We will be holding workplace meetings between now and the end of the year to discuss current conditions and how you see the OneEA taking shape.

We will be looking to form a bargaining team to assist with communication channels and to attend meetings with union officials. If you are interested in being a part of the team, please let us know as we attend your workplace.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Member Support on 1300 772 679

What can I do in the meantime?

  • Discuss with workmates from other parts of TBS the potential to raise conditions by joining their union and standing together.
  • Discuss your union and what it means to you and your workmates with family friends and colleagues.
  • Attend CPSU NSW meetings and ask questions. Speak to your Delegate or check your local CPSU NSW notice board for dates.
  • Support the work of the CPSU NSW and your local delegates by asking your colleagues to JOIN their union.
