The Benevolent Society announces enterprise bargaining

The Benevolent Society – Ent Barg – Oct 2019 (PDF version)

The Benevolent Society has advised the CPSU NSW that it has initiated enterprise bargaining. It has provided staff the required Notice of Employees Representational Rights. If you have not received this, speak with your direct manager or email .

The CPSU NSW is the nominated bargaining agent for members without you having to do anything. You do not need to notify TBS that you are a member and that we will be your bargaining representative.

Over the coming weeks we will hold workplace meetings with members to discuss the process and terms, conditions and benefits that you want to see in the agreement. With our members we will develop a Log of Claims and provide this to TBS.

We will be looking to form a bargaining team to assist with communication channels and to attend meetings with Union officials. If you are interested in being a part of the team, please let us know as we attend your workplace.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Member Support on 1300 772 679.

What can I do in the meantime?

  • Discuss with workmates from other parts of TBS the potential to raise conditions by joining their union and standing together.
  • Discuss your union and what it means to you and your workmates with family friends and colleagues.
  • Attend CPSU NSW meetings and ask questions. Speak to your Delegate or check your local CPSU NSW notice board for dates.
  • Support the work of the CPSU NSW and your local delegates by asking your colleagues to JOIN their union.
