The PSA/CPSU NSW supports action on climate change, including next week’s global strike.
Many of our members see the effects of climate change in their workplaces every day, and feel neither the state nor federal government is taking this issue seriously. As is so often the case, it is up to everyday workers and students to push for real action.
At 12 noon on Friday, 20 September, students and employees all across Australia and the world will walk out of their classrooms and workplaces and demand our leaders do more to safeguard the planet’s future.
In Sydney, the action will focus on The Domain in the city centre.
The PSA/CPSU NSW supports any members taking action on this day. However, members should keep in mind this is not an industrial strike and a political action and they will have to access available flex conditions and leave to attend.
