Benevolent Society threatening staff with performance management after axing nearly 200 jobs.

Benevolent Society threatening staff with performance management after axing nearly 200 jobs – June 2019 (PDF version)

The Benevolent Society (TBS) is threatening staff with performance management if they fail to bill a minimum of five hours per day.

The advice from TBS management to staff coincides with plans to shed nearly 200 jobs as the business struggles to maintain a sustainable operating model.

TBS’s “new disability services model” goes live on Monday 29 July, just five weeks away, and the tin-ear announcement is likely to be taken poorly by staff already disillusioned with the NGO’s direction.

The CPSU NSW has expressed concern at the timing of the move and questioned TBS’s ability to provide procedural fairness and reasonable timeframes for any form of performance management

If you find yourself under performance management, contact us on 1300 772 679 so we can keep TBS to its obligation of procedural fairness and reasonable behaviour.

If you have any questions or concerns with correspondence, letters or contract coming from TBS, contact the CPSU NSW on 1300 772 679. If you are not sure, don’t sign and seek advice.
