TAFE have contacted your union about proposed changes within the Events and Sponsorship Team (EST). EST is across four TAFE sites: Kingscliff, Wollongong, Wagga and Orange.
Initially there was no formal document outlining the organisation reasons for the proposed changes, however we have pressed for and have received that now.
The proposed changes will effect a handful of TW4, TW5 and TW8 employees. While these changes may provide one or two promotional opportunities due to the creation of a TW8, there are, of course no guarantees. These changes could also result in a position made redundant.
So the union advises members to be cautious and contact us immediately regarding their specific personal situations so that we may make representations to TAFE management on your behalf, if necessary.
At present management have agreed to hold off on its implementation until we wait on all members to come forward to allow us to finalise our submission.
