University of Wollongong – Professional Staff Bargaining Update

University of Wollongong – Professional Staff Bargaining Update – March 2019 (PDF version)

Your CPSU NSW bargaining team has made significant progress in Professional Staff bargaining due to meeting weekly with the university.

Bargaining has progressed to the point that at the meeting on the 13 March 2019 the university put forward a proposal on the term of the agreement.

The proposal also contained the percentage increase in salaries, the dates they would be paid and where the superannuation improvements would kick in.

The university has outlined three options for how this can be implemented to consider and your CPSU Bargaining Team is working through the numbers in the proposal to understand the implications of each option and the overall benefit.

We need to ensure any pay rises are comparable with other universities.

As noted in the last bulletin a majority of the clauses in the agreement have been discussed and ‘Agreed to in Principal’ in line with our log of claims. There are further issues that need to be discussed and some wording to be redrafted to finalise the outstanding clauses and issues.
