Water NSW – member update

Water NSW – Member update – June 2018 (PDF version)

As you’re probably aware, Water NSW has lodged a “bargaining dispute” with the Fair Work Commission and the matter listed for conference before Commissioner Bull on 6 July. This is an unusual step for an employer to make and introduces a third party into the negotiations. The independent umpire may or may not be useful; however, they have now changed the fundamental process of negotiating your terms and conditions at Water NSW.

In explaining the application, Water NSW cites “substantial differences between the parties, particularly in respect of a unified classification model as well as pay structures” in addition to a number of other matters.

CPSU NSW staff, Thane Pearce and Maryanne Stuart, will be on site in Parramatta on Thursday, 5 July 2018 to discuss the corporation’s dispute application, our position in bargaining and answer any questions you might have.
