PSA Forestry Corporation of NSW bulletin – February 2016 (PDF version)
On 23 February 2016, the PSA and AWU met with management of the Forestry Corporation of NSW. We are involved in the dispute with Forestry Corporation about management’s proposal removing face-to-face Joint Consultative Committees (JCCS).
This matter had been the subject of conciliation as members were informed in our previous bulletin; see link HERE.
The PSA is pleased to report management has backed down from insisting the next JCC not be face-to-face. Management has agreed to discuss alternative strategies to reduce the cost of JCCs, yet still have meaningful consultation.
The dispute in the Fair Work Commission has now been stood over generally. The PSA has not agreed to any proposal, instead merely agreeing to talk to management to find a way forward.
We will continue to keep members up to date. If you have any queries about this matter, please contact Dean Allen .
