PSA(CPSU) enterprise bargaining update 16 November 2015 (PDF version)
Your Bargaining Team met with TAFE NSW on 9 November 2015 to continue negotiations for a new Agreement.
The PSA (CPSU) tabled a draft Work Level Standards document in place of the TAFE developed version. This is derived from the version the PSA (CPSU) negotiated many years ago for the Colleges of Advanced Education and Universities. The PSA (CPSU) will meet with TAFE through a small working group to try to finalise these Work Level Standards and to map these across all current TAFE Classifications.
This version was adopted by Charles Sturt University, which was formed by two Colleges of Advanced Education and had many of the same classifications that TAFE has today from the NSW public sector.
The PSA(CPSU) received a response from the A/Managing Director regarding the claim for the 2.5 percent pay rise to be passed on while negotiations continues. TAFE NSW rejected this claim along with any potential back pay.
By not proving the public sector 2.5 percent pay rise in 2015, TAFE NSW wants to use this as bargaining leverage to push its claims for reductions in your pay and conditions.
TAFE NSW continues with their claims to cut your conditions as based on the Agreement they published in the ballot. There has been no change to their claims at all, in spite of continued questioning.
The PSA (CPSU) will continue to fight against such a savage attack on your pay and conditions while seeking to negotiate a suitable new agreement.
