This was discussed in some detail, with a number of minor changes being requested. These include; expanding the definition of change management to include changes that may not include job losses; broadening consultation for change proposals to all affected staff, not just those facing redundancy and including other stakeholders; giving at least 5 days notice for the first distribution of a change proposal so that staff can have their union delegates and/or officials attend so that we all get the same message.
The University wasn’t opposed to these requests but will respond at the next meeting.
