TAFE NSW: Disability Assistants conversion to permanency

Did you know that TAFE Disability Assistants can be CPSU NSW members?

There have been a lot of changes recently in TAFE NSW with your new Enterprise Agreement. This includes the introduction of conversion for Disability Assistants (DAs) from casual to permanent employment for the first time.

It’s more important than ever to be a member of your union and that is why we are asking you to sign up today or, for those of you who are already a members, to speak with your DA colleagues about joining the CPSU NSW.

You can join easily online HERE.

CPSU NSW is there for all members

The CPSU NSW advocates for members of all employment types and will fight for secure, ongoing work for everyone.  We know that many DA staff in TAFE have been on temporary or casual contracts for some time and we are working on ways to assist you in converting to permanent employment.

What are we working on?

  • Conversion of all TAFE NSW Disability Assistants who want to be permanent employees.
  • An information and Q and A meeting with TAFE NSW about Disability Assistants and what it means to convert, and your rights and entitlements going forward.
  • Ensuring correct hours, leave, and entitlements are maintained in your new contract and offer of permanency.

Make sure your interests are represented and you have a say in how things progress for Disability Assistants by joining the CPSU NSW.
