CPSU NSW: University of Technology Sydney end of year update 2025

Enterprise Bargaining

Your bargaining team has wrapped up bargaining for the year with six meetings to date. Negotiations will recommence on 20 January 2026.

Bargaining claims that have been discussed to date include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment matters, change management, union representation, AI and leave. The university has resisted significant changes to the current change clause in the agreement and allowing staff to cash out annual leave. Mechanisms to allow employees to maintain full contributions to superannuation while on half pay long service leave have been received positively by the university.

Your union will continue to prosecute your claims around improvements to your conditions and entitlements in the new year.

Operational Sustainability Initiative (OSI)

Your delegates and CPSU industrial staff have and continued to engage members for feedback regarding the Operating Model Change Proposal.

We would like to remind you about the deadline of Wednesday 17 December for submitting feedback to the Operating Model Change Proposal.

Thank you for the feedback that has already been sent to us to date.

Should you wish to submit feedback that the CPSU NSW can submit, de-identified, on your behalf, please send this to quoting reference number C10001203 by close of business Wednesday 17 December.

On behalf of your branch delegates and CPSU industrial staff, the CPSU NSW wishes you a safe, happy and relaxing festive season.
