Western Sydney University Management has released an Issue Paper for consultation and discussion about the university’s Information Technology and Digital Services (ITDS) area.
The university has provided a number of issues informing the proposal to change the ITDS Structure including mission, purpose, ability to ensure reliable service, resourcing and data ownership.
The paper has identified 206.45 full-time equivalent positions in the ITDS, meaning any proposed changes have the potential to have significant and wide-reaching impact on Professional Staff at Western Sydney University.

We strongly encourage you to contribute feedback as part of this process. The Issues Paper has not proposed specific changes to the structure of the ITDS as yet and have not proposed changes to the number of staff nor the work they do.

Staff can also provide feedback by writing to the Engagement Support Officer, Office for People, Zoe Stirling using the email address . Staff have until close of Business Friday 9 May to submit feedback.
Western Sydney University Management has also advised it will be creating a Sharepoint page to share updates, information and Frequently Asked Questions that arise as part of the consultation on the Change Process.
This feedback period is the best opportunity to have your voice heard on any future decisions University management makes about the structure and function of ITDS and any changes to the number of positions and work done by any new positions.
