Your new and improved Enterprise Agreement


The TAFE Commission of NSW Administrative, Support and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement 2023 has been approved and takes effect today.

What this means for you

The approved agreement comes with significant improvements which have been won across the board for all professional services employees, such as;

Pay – TAFE NSW will pay each staff member covered by the EA:

  • A one-off payment equivalent to a 1 per cent increase in your salary, pro-rated for the period 1 July 2023 to 18 September 2023 (or the first pay period after); and
  • A 4 per cent pay increase, backdated, to the first pay period after 18 September 2023

Conversion of Temporary Employees to Permanent Employment – a stronger clause concerning long term temps to provide better opportunities and improved criteria for conversion. – clause 19.1-7.

Conversion of Casual Employees – The CPSU NSW and bargaining team has argued in favour and won the creation of a new clause that defines and provides a criteria for casual employees to be eligible to apply for conversion to ongoing permanent employment. – clause 19.8-11.

Flex Time – Each employee is now entitled to accrue up to 15 minutes a day in flex time WITHOUT prior approval and they cannot be denied this entitlement by way of direction. (Subject to WHS requirements) – clause 45.8.

Family and Domestic Violence Leave – Employees can now access up to 20 days paid family and domestic violence leave, an increase of 10 days from the previous EA. –clause 100.2.

And many more improvements across the board.
