Land Registry Services float plan to incorporate Award conditions in transferred staff employment contracts

NSW Land Registry Services (LRS) has canvassed a proposal with the CPSU NSW to incorporate existing pay and key conditions into staff employment contracts, ahead of the expiry of copied-state instruments on 30 June 2022. While the precise detail of the proposal is yet to be shared with the union, we have agreed to review it in collaboration with our local delegates and our legal services team, and provide advice to members.

The LRS plan would, if properly designed, provide some immediate certainty for transferred staff in the absence of another and better alternative.

The CPSU NSW has always indicated a strong preference for a new collective agreement with LRS  to replace the copied-state instruments and ensure fair and equitable conditions and pay for all staff.

We need you to come and tell us what you think. The CPSU NSW is your union, and we will fight for your interests and pursue a course of action that the majority of members are happy with.

Join CPSU NSW Branch Assistant Secretary Troy Wright at our member meeting tomorrow to discuss next steps and your thoughts on what your conditions of employment could look like going forward.
