2020 Newcastle University Staff Consultative Committee Meetings (PDF version)
The 2020 Newcastle University Staff Consultative Committee have been scheduled at Callaghan Campus and are
as follows:
– Wednesday 12 February 9am to 11am in the Committee Room
– Wednesday 29 April 9am to 11am in the Finance Meeting Room
– Wednesday 24 June 9am to 11am in the Finance Meeting Room
– Wednesday 26 August 9am to 11am in the Committee Room
– Wednesday 28 October 9am to 11am in the Committee Room
The CPSU-NSW has been requested to give nominations and is therefore seeking members to express their
interest in attending meetings on behalf of CPSU-NSW.
These meetings are attended by the Union officials, Nominated Union Members and Management to discuss
issues of concern by either party as well as giving notice or updates on future changes including providing
feedback and working on workplace issues as a collective.
If you are interested in nominating to be a representative from the CPSU-NSW please contact Newcastle Regional
Organiser Ian Braithwaite via email or mobile 0400 859 630 by COB 5 February 2020.
Once nominations close and interested members identified CPSU-NSW will advise the University that you will be
the CPSU-NSW representative on the Staff Consultative Committee.
The University will then advise your manager to allow for your release to attend these meetings at Callaghan
Campus and others from Central Coast Campus or the Newcastle City Campus will be able to Video Link in if
required (Physically attending would be preferred but no necessary).
This gives you an opportunity to be part of your Union and assist with resolving and contributing to issues within
your workplace.
