The PSA/CPSU NSW has been made aware that many TAFE NSW employees have been directly impacted by the catastrophic bush fires over the weekend, with some employees having lost property.
Tragically your colleague and PSA/CPSU NSW member Julie Fletcher perished in the fires. Our immediate thoughts and concerns go out to her family, friends and colleagues.
The PSA/CPSU NSW encourages members to use the employee assistance program through Benestar (Employee Assistance Program Provider) by visiting their website or calling 1300 360364, and other supports such as your Health and Safety Representatives and Council delegate.
Your union has been advised that Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Great Lakes (Tuncurry) Wauchope, Taree and Macksville campuses will be closed at least until Wednesday.
The PSA/CPSU NSW extends our support and thoughts to everyone effected by the bush fires.
