There was a further face-to-face meeting between Australian Unity and the CPSU NSW Administrative Bargaining Team on 27 November 2018.
The hard work and commitment of your bargaining representatives in negotiating your conditions of employment is beginning to payoff. In response to the continual pressure and negotiating from your bargaining representatives, Australian Unity made a surprise proposal to flip on its proposed cuts to your conditions.
Rather than trying to remove your conditions of employment Australian Unity now appears to be offering to continue and incorporate most of your current pay and conditions. Remember, your Copied State Award, the Crown Employees (Home Care Service of NSW – Administrative Staff) Award 2012, continues as is for up to five years under the Fair Work Act 2009.
In order to see if Australian Unity intends to follow through at all your CPSU NSW Bargaining Team has requested a copy the draft Agreement with these proposed changes. We need to see the evidence of an actual offer and to see what else it may be including in its ‘claim’. As of COB Thursday 29 November, no draft Agreement with this proposal is yet to be provided to the CPSU NSW. (UPDATE –29.11.18, 6pm: We have been recently informed that the updated draft Agreement with their new proposal it will not be provided until the following week.)
Once your CPSU NSW Bargaining Team eventually gets its hands on actual hard copy of their ‘updated’ draft Agreement to read and analyse, a further update to members will be sent out. Keep a close look out for the next update!
