Nominations are now open for the following positions to represent members at University of Newcastle:
- Ourimbah delegate;
- Callaghan delegates x4;
- President;
- Vice President;
- Secretary;
- Assistant Secretary;
- Women’s Officer.
As a delegate or other representative, you’ll be involved in:
- setting the collective targets and objectives of the Branch Committee;
- promoting the values and advantages of union membership in your workplace;
- maintaining regular contact with members;
- recruiting new members with the aim of obtaining 100% union membership;
- participating in negotiations with University of Newcastle management to advocate on behalf of UoN members; and
- assisting members with grievances and other issues which members wish to take up with management.
All delegates to the Branch Committee will be given free training by the PSA/CPSU in your role, as well as ongoing support from your union.
All financial members of the PSA/CPSU are welcome to nominate
