Western Sydney University: a revised pay offer

Thank you to all members who attended the members meeting last Wednesday, 21 January 2026, and for sharing your feedback regarding the university’s pay offer broken down to 3.4 per cent paid annually every March from this year until 2029, followed by 2.83 per cent in January 2030. The full offer on the table at that time was 16.43 per cent from March 2026 to January 2030.

We have heard your feedback, and since the members meeting another pay offer has been put on the table.

The latest pay offer is as follows:

16.92 per cent from March 2026 to January 2030, broken down as:

Your union views this latest offer as a good offer, amidst the other wins we have secured to date during bargaining including:

•  Maintaining separate agreements for professional and academic staff
• Clearer provisions around flexible hours of work, parental leave, and personal leave
• Improvements to clauses governing misconduct procedures and processes
• Improved change management clauses
• Increased union delegate leave entitlements to enable delegates to support you more effectively
