Have your say now: contracts or collective agreement?

If you attended our member meeting on Tuesday, you will know this survey is coming. If you missed the meeting, here’s a quick recap:

The Copied State Award you are currently on (which contains your conditions of employment and pay) is due to expire on 30 June 2022. Your employer has approached the CPSU NSW to discuss the possibility of placing staff on individual contracts it claims would keep most of your conditions and pay. These contracts are negotiated between the individual staff member and the employer.

It is the preference of the CPSU NSW that staff are covered by a collective agreement in order to ensure fairness and equity across the organisation. This would be negotiated by your union on your behalf, and you will get the opportunity to tell us what you would like to see in your agreement.

We thank all members who attended and participated in yesterday’s meeting. We are guided by you, our members, in this process and we will continue to fight for your entitlements and pay.

You now need to tell us how you’d like to proceed. Please complete the quick poll below to tell us what you think. Your current Copied State Award can be found here for reference.

Please complete the poll here. Your vote will remain confidential, we’re just asking for your details so your Organiser can follow you up if needed.

If you missed the meeting, or are still unsure and want to talk it out, please get in touch with your Delegates or Organiser. We’re happy to have a chat!
